The PTE-738N is a helmet-mounted headset built for motorcycle riders who need clear two-way radio communication while on the move. It combines a rider-specific flexible boom microphone, a finger push-to-talk button and a quick-release cable, so the headset can be worn under a helmet and connected or removed in seconds. It uses the cost-effective quick-release connector but delivers IP67 waterproof performance, which makes it a practical choice for larger rider fleets and volume orders.
The boom microphone is designed specifically for motorcycle riders. Its flexible arm lets the rider position the capsule precisely in front of the mouth, which improves voice pickup accuracy and keeps speech clear even with wind noise around the helmet. The arm holds its position once adjusted, so the mic does not drift during a ride.
The cable carries an inline quick-release connector rated IP67 at the point where the headset meets the radio lead, offering easy and secure connection and disconnection. The rider can detach the headset in one motion when stepping away from the bike, and the waterproof rating protects this break point from rain, spray and dust during normal riding conditions. The radio-end plug is a separate connector and is matched to your radio when ordering.
A finger PTT button provides easier communication control, allowing for quick and efficient operation. The button can be operated with one hand without the rider taking a hand off the handlebar for long, so transmission starts and stops smoothly during a ride.
The cable is reinforced with Kevlar and coated with durable PU material for enhanced strength and durability. This construction resists the repeated flexing, abrasion and weather exposure that helmet headset cables typically face in daily riding use.

Helmet headsets are fitted to both a radio and a helmet, so the radio-end connector and the helmet type both matter. Please confirm the following when enquiring:
Send these details with your enquiry and we will confirm the matching configuration, along with lead time and minimum order quantity.
Radio compatibility is determined by the connector at the end of the headset cable that plugs into the radio. Send us the exact model number of your radio and we will confirm the correct radio-end connector before you order.
Yes. The quick-release connector is rated IP67, so it is protected against dust ingress and against water during normal riding conditions such as rain and road spray.
The PTE-738N uses a boom microphone, which is normally used with open-face and modular helmets, where the boom can be positioned in front of the mouth. For a full-face helmet we offer a separate model that uses a cable microphone instead of a boom; contact us and we will point you to the right model.
Yes. The headset includes a finger push-to-talk button that allows quick and efficient control of transmission with one hand.
