National Day holiday of China is October 1st, which normally fixed at October 1–7 with adjacent weekend days being mandatory workdays to make up for the lost time. This period is also called "golden week" because of the biggest week for tourism in China when people have a week off to reunite with families and take trips.
Mid-Autumn Festival also called Moon cake Festival is the second grandest festival in China after the Chinese New Year.
In 2020, the Mid-Autumn Festival will also fall on October 1st and will be combined with National Day. So Chinese people will enjoy an 8-day public holiday this year.
